No audio in Live TV for ATI All-In-Wonder or nVidia Personal Cinema users with version 3.4.4 or later

DESCRIPTION:

When using the ATI All-In-Wonder or nVidia Personal Cinema device with version 3.4.4 or later of Beyond TV, the user experiences a lack of audio in Live TV mode. Audio will usually work during the setup wizard and will work in recordings, however. This is currently known to occur on s/pdif / digital sound output systems, and USB-powered speakers. This occurs because version 3.4.4 and later will default to using the "overlay" to render the video; previous versions could only use the "3d accelerated" display. Because of the nature of the overlay on All-In-Wonder devices, the sound cannot be routed through the proper output, and some speaker setups will only play that output.

ARTICLE:

Change your "video renderer" setting back to "3d Accelerated" via the full-screen or windowed mode: SETTINGS --> GENERAL SETTINGS --> Video Renderer (in 3.7.X and earlier) or SETTINGS --> PLAYBACK SETTINGS --> Video Renderer (in 4.X and later).
