DESCRIPTION:

Instructions for configuring and using the "Burn to CD or DVD" function in Beyond TV, which makes it easy to archive your recordings.

If the computer on which Beyond TV is installed also has Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator v. 6 installed, this option will be pre-configured to add the recording on which the "Burn to CD or DVD" command is executed to a new Roxio project. If configured in this manner, the "Archive Command" field below will be blank. It does not matter if Roxio was installed after Beyond TV, as Beyond TV will configure itself on startup if it finds the Roxio installation.

To setup this option manually, open the following web page in Internet Explorer, on the computer running Beyond TV:

In version 3.5 and later: http://localhost:8129/SetupMisc.aspx
In version 3.4.4: http://localhost:8129/settings.cgi?mode=general

Locate the "Archive Command" option. Define the full path to the executable you wish to run for this feature here. When the "Burn to CD or DVD" command is used, Beyond TV will execute the text you specify, followed by the full path to the recording the option was used on.

For example, if you define the "Archive Command" setting as:

c:\misc\burner.exe

And the file you execute the command on is "d:\media\btvshows\bigmpg.mpg" then this command will simply execute:

c:\misc\burner.exe d:\media\btvshows\bigmpg.mpg
