DESCRIPTION: The user notices that after changing the channel in Beyond TV, 2-3 seconds pass before the image in Live TV changes to match the channel that Beyond TV has changed to.ARTICLE: This is normal. There will be a delay in almost all setups because the video data is being buffered for the purposes of compression. The delay can be as short as one second or as long as three seconds, but it will be there in almost every setup. Compression is needed for both the Back Capture and Time Shifting options in Beyond TV, and there is currently no way to disable these options. The only exception to this rule is when using the Overlay renderer in a setup using a VIVO card such as the ATI All-In-Wonder or the NVIDIA Personal Cinema; Live TV under these circumstances will be real-time, though consequently the Back Capture and Time Shifting options will not be available. | |
