DESCRIPTION: No sound in Windows Vista.ARTICLE: If you have no audio in Windows Vista, please check the following:
With the Beyond TV ViewScape open, click the volume icon in the Windows system tray (next to the time). Then click, "Mixer". Here, you should see a separate volume control for Beyond TV. Please make sure that the volume is adjusted appropriately, and not muted. If that doesn't work, start a recorded show and then move the volume slider up in Beyond TV until the bar goes RED. UPDATE: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 is known to cause sound issues with Beyond TV. Please do the following if your audio drops in Beyond TV. Go to your Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab > Select your audio device > Click the properties button > Go to the Advanced Tab Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". Apply the changes, and reboot your system. After the reboot, play Live TV or a recording and then press the + sign on your keyboard until the volume reaches 100% in red. | |
