How to download closed-captioning information for a recording

DESCRIPTION: How to use the Enterprise TV web admin to download closed-captioning data from a recording made with the SnapStream TV server.ARTICLE: Note that it is possible to get closed captioning data in two different formats.To download a transcript of the recording as a text file: 1. Open the Enterprise TV web admin and go to Recorded Shows 2. Find the show that you are looking for and click Options 3. Click Download Transcript To download the closed-captioning data as timecoded for broadcast: 1. Open the Enterprise TV web admin and go to Recorded Shows 2. Find the show that you are looking for and click Options 3. Right-click Download and select Copy Link Address 4. Paste the copied link to a text editor and add ".srt" to the end of the link. For example: If the copied download link is: https://ets-sales1:8129/Download.aspx?show=F%3a%5cRecorded+TV%5cMorning+Express-2009-08-24-0.mpg The address for the closed-captioning file is: https://ets-sales1:8129/Download.aspx?show=F%3a%5cRecorded+TV%5cMorning+Express-2009-08-24-0.mpg.srt 5. Enter the link ending in SRT into the address bar of a web browser 6. You will be able to download the transcript in the SRT file format, which can be opened in a text editor. | |
