Enable Windows Aero desktop while using Enterprise TV Link 5.x's Viewscape

DESCRIPTION:

Enterprise TV Link 5.x's ViewScape disables Windows Aero desktop while running in Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7.

ARTICLE:

By default, Enterprise TV Link 5.x's ViewScape will disable the Windows Aero desktop feature. Once you exit the ViewScape, the feature will be re-enabled. If you would like to run the Windows Aero desktop while using Enterprise TV Link 5.x's ViewScape, please perform these steps:
  • Shut down Beyond TV Link.


  • Click on START, in the Start Search field, type \Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\SnapStream Media\SnapStream TV\ and press Enter.


  • Once the folder appears, open the Settings.xml file in notepad.


  • Search for "DisableDWMComposition" and change the Value from "1" to "0".


  • Save and exit out of the file and restart Beyond TV Link


Enterprise TV Link 5.x's ViewScape, and Windows Aero, will now both function properly for this user.


NOTE: This is a user specific setting, so you will have to make this adjustment for each user running Enterprise TV Link.
