How to determine what version number and build of Beyond TV or Beyond Media is running
Posted by - NA - on 28 December 2005 07:52 AM

DESCRIPTION:

There are many reasons you may need to know exactly what version of Beyond TV or Beyond Media you're using. For example, a particular incremental release may correct a bug you're experiencing. In order to determine if upgrading will resolve the issue, you need to know the exact version of Beyond TV currently installed.

ARTICLE:

For Beyond TV
Beyond TV 3 was publicly released in May 2003. If you have purchased or upgraded Beyond TV since this date, you are using an iteration of Beyond TV 3 (3.1, 3.2, etc.). Right-click on the Beyond TV icon in the System Tray and select "About Beyond TV" to display the version and build information.

If the above doesn't work, you have most likely purchased Beyond TV before May 2003 and haven't upgraded. In this case, you are using version 2.0 or even version 1.5 (called "Personal Video Station," or PVS, at the time). Use these instructions to confirm:

1. Start Personal Video Station if its not already running. (Start > Programs > SnapStream PVS > SnapStream PVS)

2. Right click on the Personal Video Station icon in the system tray and select "View Activity Log."

3. From the File Menu, choose Help > About and note the version of Personal Video Station.

For Beyond Media
Ensure that Beyond Media is running and is not full-screened. If it is full-screened, hit ALT-ENTER to restore it to a windowed size. From the "Help" menu, select "About Beyond Media." The version and build number will be displayed.
