DESCRIPTION:

Follow these steps in order to enable Beyond Media to automatically play an audio CD or DVD video when it is inserted into the appropriate drive. NOTE: This feature cannot work in conjunction with automatic Audio CD ripping with Windows Media Player 10 as described in this Knowledge Base article.

ARTICLE:

Method 1 (easy):

1) Insert the Media Type (DVD or CD) into the appropriate drive.

2) When the Windows Auto-run dialog is displayed, select " Play Video DVD" (or Audio CD, as appropriate ) "using Beyond Media" and click on the check box to "Always Do the selected action". Hit OK.


Method 2 (use if Method 1 does not work):

1) Double-click on the "My Computer" icon to display the disk drives on the PC.

2) Right-click on the CD-ROM / DVD-ROM drive whose media you wish to automatically play in Beyond Media.

3) Select "Properties."

4) Click on the "AutoPlay" tab.

5) From the drop-down list near the top, select either "Music CD" or "DVD Movie" as appropriate.

6) Check the radio button marked "Select an action to perform" and select either " Play Video DVD" (or Audio CD, as appropriate ) "using Beyond Media."

7) Hit OK. The type of media specified will now automatically open in Beyond Media.
