DESCRIPTION:

Beyond TV Link works by default with the FireFly, StreamZap, Adaptec, and Windows Media Center Edition remote controls. However, a user with a Hauppauge "black," "silver," or "new silver" remote, or an ATI Remote Wonder, will find that Beyond TV Link does not work properly with their remotes. Additional configuration steps are necessary to get these to work properly.

For the Remote Wonder:

Pull up the Remote Wonder software from its icon in the System Tray. Use the "Plugins" section to import the following file:

\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Snapstream\Beyond TV\Plugins\PVSATIRemotePlugin.dll

Once this file is importted, the Remote Wonder will work in Beyond TV Link. Please note that a restart of Beyond TV Link, or a reboot of the computer, may be necessary before this will work properly.

For the Hauppauge Remote:

Make a backup of the file:

\WINDOWS\irremote.ini

Then open irremote.ini in a text editor, and copy and paste the text in the "btv4link.txt" file attached to this knowledge base article to the end of the irremote.ini file.

Save the irremote.ini file and restart the Hauppauge IR software. The remote will work in Beyond TV now.
