DESCRIPTION:

Use this article for instructions on how to proceed if tech support, or another knowledge base article, directs you to a file or folder that doesn't seem to exist.

ARTICLE:

Please perform the followings steps:

1 - Open "My Computer" or "Computer" from the Start menu.

2 - Once the window opens, click on TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS - VIEW (tab). (Note: Vista Users, press the Alt key on the keyboard for the menu to appear before you select Tools.)

3 - Check the items marked "Show hidden files and folders" and "Display the contents of system folders"

4 - Uncheck the item marked "Hide extensions for known file types."

5 - Click "OK."

Now all the hidden files, directories and there extensions are viewable.
