DESCRIPTION:

Rebuild your Guide Data.

ARTICLE:

In Beyond TV, you are not able to view your guide data as it is unavailable or missing entries, updates are failing or you are unable to search for any listings.

Please perform the following instructions:


1 - Exit Beyond TV completely by right clicking on the Beyond TV icon in the system tray and choosing Exit.


2 - Navigate to this directory:
  • Windows XP - \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV\
  • Windows Vista - \ProgramData\SnapStream\Beyond TV\
(Note: If you cannot reach this directory, follow the directions in the following knowledge base first, and try again.)


3 - Create a backup folder, and *move* these files into the backup folder:

baseLineups.xml
GuideUpdateProps.xml
GuideUpdaterService.xml
UnifiedChannels.xml
userLineups.xml
guide.db
guide_variable.db
guide.staging.db (if it exist)


4 - Delete the following directories if they exist: lucene and lucene-staging


5 - Restart Beyond TV.


6 - In the ViewScape, click on Settings - Snapstream.Net Settings - Download SnapStream.Net Program Data


7 - Watch the status (in red) at bottom of ViewScape as it downloads and processes the data.


8 - Once it completes and the status becomes "Idle", check the program guide or perform the search you were attempting before.
