The following article shows you how to backup your Beyond TV settings. Please remember to only restore backups to the same version of Beyond TV you backed it up from. For example, if I created a backup of from Beyond TV 4.5, I should not try to restore it to a copy of Beyond TV 4.9.1. The proper procedure is to restore it to a copy of 4.5 and then install the upgrade to 4.9.1.

1. In order to create a backup of Beyond TV, Beyond TV has to be running in the backgound.
   
   



2. Right click on the Beyond TV icon in the system tray and select "About Beyond TV" with the left mouse button.



3. Once the About Beyond TV window appears, click on Beyond TV Backup. When creating a backup of your Beyond TV settings, it will halt any active recordings, shutdown all services and backup your settings to a location of your choosing.
   
   



4. Please click on Yes to the pop up window and then select the directory where you would like you backup to be saved to. The default naming scheme is by date and build, for example: BTV_2_26_2009_(BUILD_6192).zip means that this is a backup of Beyond TV on Feb. 26, 2009, Beyond TV build 6192.
   
   



5. Once your backup is complete, click Ok and now your Beyond TV settings are backed up.
