How to resolve Daylight Savings Time issues.

If you are having issues with your Daylight Savings Time(DST), you may see issues with your program guide being off, scheduled recordings record at the wrong time and etc. In order to resolve these issues, you will have to perform a few steps to ensure your system is properly setup to handle DST.
- Check whether your computer has the right Time and Date.
- Double click on the clock in your system tray and it should bring up the Date and Time Properties.
- On the Date & Time tab and please verify that you have the right date and time selected and click OK at the bottom.
- Check whether your computer has the right Time Zone selected and whether Daylight Savings Time setting is enabled.
- Double click on the clock in your system tray and it should bring up the Date and Time Properties.
- Click on the Time Zone tab and then verify that you have the right Time Zone selected.
- Then make sure that "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" is checked". If it is not, check it and click OK at the bottom.
- Make sure your computer has the Daylight Savings Time patch.
You may check this by performing a Windows Update and downloading the DST patch for your operating system or you can manually download the patch from Microsoft's website and apply it yourself.

Once you have applied the patch to your system, please reboot your computer and see whether the patch resolves your DST issues.
- Operating Systems that do not have a DST Patch.
All versions of Windows can be manually updated by using the Tzedit.exe utility or by using other techniques documented in Knowledge Base article 914387, Online Webcast 930688, and similar articles for other countries. That is the preferred method of remediation for any product that does not have a DST patch. (The Tzedit.exe tool lets you create and edit time zone entries for the Date/Time settings in Control Panel, especially for daylight saving time.)
